International markets
In 1983, Henri Morel, a young entrepreneur graduated from HEC, bought his first company, Dupeux, specialized in industrial heat insulation. This is the beginning of an entrepreneurial adventure...
Henri Morel continues his activities in 1984, notably by taking over the industrial locking solutions market, with the acquisition of Dény and then Métalux.
Sfpi Group is created in 1985, in order to organize the first companies bought and to favor new acquisitions.
After 30 years of national and international growth, a percentage of the capital of Sfpi Group is successfully listed on the stock exchange (Euronext Paris).
This decision strengthens the development of the group and gives rise to a number of innovative initiatives, such as the adoption of a CSR policy.
Henri Morel and the other founders of Sfpi Group remain the majority shareholders and continue to be the group's operational managers, with the mission to develop the group's 80 and more companies.
In 2017, Sfpi acquired JKF to create the NEU JKF division, enabling the group to establish itself in Denmark, Poland and Malaysia and to become a major European player in air treatment

In 2020, Sfpi Group launches its transformation plan. For several years now, Sfpi Group has placed industrial responsibility at the heart of its development model. To accelerate this process, we have launched a group-wide transformation plan. Our collective ambition is to assert our position as a leader in industrial responsibility, serving the sustainable growth of the Group's activities.
In 2021, Sfpi Group continues its internal and external development and will generate more than 569 million euros in revenue and have more than 4,200 employees.
In 2022, Sfpi acquires Wo&Wo, an Austrian manufacturer of high-end solar protection for buildings.
In 2023, the Group pursues its external growth with the acquisition of VIRO, a long-established Italian manufacturer of padlocks, locks and security systems.
In 2024, Sfpi Group completed the full acquisition of Austrian company Tapkey, an expert in cloud-based access control.
Sfpi Group has reached a significant milestone with the organisation of a unifying event in Cannes, marking the culmination of the transformation plan undertaken in recent years and ushering in a new phase of development.
This year is notably characterised by the formalisation of a new brand architecture, the celebration of the Group’s industrial heritage through the publication of the book “Sfpi Memoir: history of an industrial ambition”, and by an in-depth reflection on the challenges of innovation and transformation, particularly related to artificial intelligence.
2026 thus marks a turning point, consolidating the Group’s foundations while affirming its ambitions for the future.
